We hope you will take a few moments to read about our call to ministry in Canada and how you can be a part of planting churches where there is a “vastness of lostness.”

                                                                                           

We are currently serving as Mission Service Corps missionaries with the North American Mission Board (NAMB) in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.  We have been here for two years and we know that God has placed us here to help transform communities through the love of Jesus Christ.

 

Our call is to share Jesus with these diverse people groups living in the communities of south Calgary where Christian evangelical churches are needed. Southwinds Church, our first church plant launched in September 2007 averages over 70 in attendance.  In late 2009, we will launch our second church in another target community.  Our intentional ministry is to assist in planting a network of churches, begin home Bible study groups and coordinate outreach community events such as block parties, family BBQs, kid’s sports camps, kid’s clubs, and summer and winter festivals.

 

Mission Service Corps is a team of long-term, self-funded missionaries. By securing our own support for our ministry, we enable the North American Mission Board to extend its evangelism and church planting efforts to the 225 million lost people in North America.  While the Cooperative Program, Annie Armstrong and Lottie Moon special mission offerings support many Southern Baptist Missionaries; these do not provide financial support for all of them, or for the expanding need for more missionaries.  Like many others in the mission field, we depend on consistent monthly financial commitments and prayer support of ministry partners to continue our ministry in Canada.  We are 100% partner-supported and receive zero funding from the Southern Baptist Convention as MSC Missionaries.  If you would like to make a secure, tax-deductible donation to our ministry, please click on the link at the top of our home page, that says “Donate Now.”
