On the first Sunday of 2010, Tim preached our message at Southwinds Church, while Bo was away in Texas visiting family. Tim asked the question listed in the above title. Tim has 6 suggested goals for the new year with scriptural backgrounds.
· Attend a Life Group: Nehemiah 8:1-3, 5-8. Additional teaching took place during and after the scriptures were read so that others may better understand.
· Tithe: Deuteronomy 14:22, set aside 10%. Deuteronomy 26:11-13, what can your 10% do or who can it help? Malachi 3:8-10, don’t rob from God and see how He can bless you on earth and in heaven.
· Pray Daily: Luke 11:1-4. Jesus teaches us how to pray. Tim suggested we follow this guide as well;
P- Praise God first in your prayers
R-Requests of others should come second in your prayers
A-All other requests or issues / needs come third in your prayers
Y-Yourself, pray for yourself last
· Bible Read Daily: 2 Timothy 3:16-17, the Bible is God breathed. Romans 15:4, the Bible was written to teach us and encourage us in all our works.
· Worship Attendance: Ephesians 2:19-22, church is the people not the building. 1 Timothy 3:15, God’s household is the pillar and foundation of the Truth. We must be a part of the church to continue to build God’s household.
· Know Christ: What type of relationship do you have with Jesus? Romans 10:9-13 instructs us how we can accept Christ.

We have finally moved! On the weekend of December 11th, friends came out and helped us move from Cranston to Chaparral. -18 degrees Farenheit & snow is difficult weather for moving, but our friends were so helpful and did not seem to mind the bitter cold weather. After everything was inside the nice, warm home, some of our friends even put up our Christmas tree. This was so nice!
The new home in Chaparral will help us to prepare the way for a new church to begin in this community. We will begin a new home Life Group in January in Chaparral. The new home also has more room for summer mission teams and guests to stay who are coming to volunteer with Southwinds Church and Southtrails Network. Amazingly, the new home is also saving us money, even though we have additional space.

Southwinds Church children presents “Away In a Manger” on Sunday, December 13, 2009. Over 30 children participated in the program this year. Despite the brutally cold temperatures and snow, these children were able to share the true meaning of Christmas, the joy of the birth of Jesus Christ.
This Sunday, Southwinds Church broke their highest attendance record with 118 attendees.
“Go! Tell It on the Mountain” was the opening song, a favourite of the Southwinds Church children.
